I've bought the Aldi cooker. First time through, I didn't wash the rice a bit and the boiling water boiled up a bit far. And I accidentally mixed the "skin" on the bottom of the rice into the main rice. But fundamentally, it looks promising.

    It's a bit bigger than I expected.

I have had one of the aldi rice cookers for about 7 years and I love it. I bouught a new one about a year ago because mine seemed to be playing up (the switch wouldn't hold down and kept going to cooked. However, I now just keep pressing it down several time and viola, it works. Replacement in the attic until required.

I don't like my rice too stodgy/soft so I make sure I don't go over the water mark. You can get a 'skin' at the bottom; the trick is to 'fork' it up or stir it when it has finished cooking. I do this even if I'm leaving it on to keep warm.

    Good purchase defo!
