When I had it, it was the same as a normal fortnightly jsa thing, slightly longer though, and said if you need help you can do x yy and z. And thats about it, didn't even look at any of the stuff I brought in.0

my OH never changed to weekly.
Neither did mine! And I was worried that I was the only one! I just had my 13 week interview today and it was over in like 4 minutes! All he told me was that the next time i signed in i would be told when my next interview is and that he'd see me in two weeks.
I thought from what everyone else i know had told me that I was supposed to sign in every week after 13 weeks, but he never mentioned anything about that nor did he even look at my job seekers allowance book and all he said was 'see you in two weeks', so I'm assuming that means that i don't have to sign in every week now ^^;0 -
I have mine on 2nd September.
Think I'll take the interview letters I've received just in case they want to see them. My OH's for 30mins ish but different London area so hoping mines quicker.0 -
So I had mine today (changed twice) I'm sure the others in my area where having the same interview but the one guy I know has a new time for his sign on is still fortnightly whereas I am now weekly for 6 weeks (maybe they had other interviews, who knows).
Everyones was fast, mine not so.
Things are changing though, I was told a few things are happening & I was asked if i'd had a group session yet, it's their 3 point plan, which I hadn't, thats new, unless they mean the group interview thingy that I know some people have gone on.
I sat down, was told I'd be going weekly for 6 weeks starting today. Asked what I was looking for, told me about a few jobs they had, so I filled in an application form, they were very keen for me to apply. Apparently some jobs they are now monitoring and vetting the applicants (I think thats a good thing) but even if they find you something you can still say it's not suitable so in that way not a good thing.
Didn't look at my form at all just gave me a new book and signed me on.0 -

You can expect this to be an interview where you will be told about Flexible New Deal (FND which started in October 09) under which some of the Job Centre Plus work - eg job searches will be done with a company working in partnership with JCP - you should be asked to go through information held to check it is correct ready for the handover. Thereafter the provider of FND will contact you with an appointment to see them, you still attend your Job Centre every two weeks to check that you are still actively seeking work, available for work and completing your job log. I think once on FND you will find a more structured attendance and programme to follow (they have more time) with the provider, they have access to funds to send you on training and also give coaching in interview skills cv writing etc for those who need it. FND lasts until 2 years unemployed and they will find you a work placement of at least four weeks during the period you are with them. Important to remember that as with the attendance every two weeks at JCP things the FND ask you to do are also mandatory in order to received your Job Seekers Allowance. I understand that FND providers rather than recieving an amount per person from HMGov are now paid a smaller amount with a large top up when they get a person into work (the Company that is not the individual employees). If you do job searches with your FND provider remember to put them on your job log - they count towards your mandatory three a week items.0
