Is this possible... and if so is there a charge ?

NTL support Caller ID/Display, £1.75p a month is the charge,but its not available in all of their franchise areas. See http://www.home.ntl.com/page/telephoneinfocompare
BT provide Caller Display free! despite what NTL say.

caller display is only available in a few areas according to ntl last time I phoned them about it.
