If you are only a buyer on eBay, then I wouldn't concern myself with what my feedback was (unless it was less than zero). A seller can cancel a sale, but it would be in their interest to "give it a go" first.
However, if you are a seller on eBay, you are to some extent held to ransom. Personally, i just except the fact there will be people who leave neg feedback out of spite etc, and get on with my life! I may not have a 100% record, but anyone can see my feedback history and realise that 2 negatives out of nearly 1500 is a good indication of a reliable eBayer.
I always leave negative FB when appropriate and have left about 30-40 so far. My tip is, if you have a Non-paying -bidder (NPB), go through the process of reclaiming your fees. Just before claiming the final credit, leave appropriate feedback to the NPB. They are then not able to give feedback in return.0 -

Unfortunately this isn't the case. As long as the buyer still has an active account they can leave feedback even with a non paying strike against them. It only works if yours is the third strike which means they will be NARUd anyway.
If it was the case that a NPB strike cancelled out the leaving of feedback imagine how much abuse could take place. Disreputable sellers could wait until they had been paid for an item then NPB the buyer and leave negative feedback leaving nothing that the inoccent buyer could do in return.
However, I have also left negative feedback for non payers and I haven't had any in return yet.

Set your reminder to 89 days after the auction when they can't apperently leave a neg after this time then sting him! lol
Although it seems that you can't leave feedback after 90 days, it is quite easy to leave feedback after that if you know how.
As a seller, I will never leave feedback until the buyer has indicated that they are satisfied with the item by leaving feedback. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I tried the normal routes through ebay and paypal to get justice....to end up with nothing, except a few suspended paypal accounts. >:(
Even after that, the seller just opened up another account. >:(

Is that true ??? I never knew that !! :-/
I think ebay and paypal have so many loopholes that scumbags can get through its unbelievable
paypal falsely advertise that you are safe and can claim money back etc etc "buy in confidence" etc etc >:(
but they can only get back whats in the sellers account at the time.
my "dodgy dealer" withdrew all funds prior to me filing a complaint... hence I got back £0.66p out of a possible £32 >:(If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!
