A notice about car clamping

Found this useful information from Birmingham City Council's Trading Standards Office with regard to clampers:
Avoiding the clampers
Driving to the shops, it may be tempting to park in that private car park or waste ground. However, car clampers may be waiting out of sight ready to pounce. There should be warning notices about parking but they are often obscured. Don't be reassured to see other cars parked there. They may be part of the trap. If you do get clamped it can cost several hundred pounds to get your car released.
I thought that I would add this as it contains useful information on how some clampers work e.g. obscuring signs and leaving bait cars to tempt you into parking.
