Bank account needed - in NI

It would be a good idea to rephrase that bit indeed!
LOL - yes! Okay, "they get our business" then, how's that? :-DWe dropped in to the Halifax one Saturday (I think) and they allowed us to open the account on the spot. Needed ID from me as well as my 11 yr old.
Can't wait to find out who wins
Well the Northern *got our business* ;-) in the end, because a) they were closer to where we parked the car so we passed them first, and b) the woman in that branch was pleasant and helpful and the complete opposite of the one in our local branch.
He does actually have an account with Halifax, because he's got the Regular Saver/Save4It combination, but I don't suppose there's any harm in having both - he'll be using the Northern one for everyday spending, and the Halifax for savings - which probably works quite well, as he won't be tempted to spend his savings (though I don't think he would anyway).0 -

Sorry, I meant it would be a good idea for Halifax to rephrase that bit on their website

I don't mind either way, just giving out info to help you make your decision
Glad you got sorted!
