run Spyware Doctor (free scanner) and AVG Free just to check?
Pest patrol and Adaware let stuff through and do not report all hijacks.
Also you mensioned this box is networked, I assume there is a stateful packet inspecting firewall between you and the net. If not at least turn on the windows firewall and block all inbound traffic, and Windows has a few buffer overun veneralbilties.Seth.0
