free video streaming recorder please

hello does anyone know of any free video streaming software that can record straight from the web. basically I'm doing a on-line course and i have found some valuable video content that will help me so i would like to record it somehow then convert it and put it on my Mobile so i can watch it anywhere..
sorry should also mention im running vista this is why i cant fint any software. i was using camstudio on xp laptop which was great but cant get it to work on vista.

The one that I use is Real Player found here http://www.real.com/
You may need to convert the dowloaded videos for your phone though, which might be another question for the forum.0 -
Only problem with RealPlayer is that it's like a virus, it gets into all parts of your PC and tries to take over.0
