I wondered what your true feelings about Piggy Banks are. I have just emptied my childrens piggy banks and put the money into Save4it accounts. However, I have a pot with a funny name, think its something like a Turin, originate in Italy I believe, the idea is you save in it till its full then you have to smash it to get at the money. You are supposed to use the money to buy another pot and then the rest should be spent on something nice.
I bought my pot in 2001 and have been saving in it ever since. I decided to save £2 coins as you don't get many of them, otherwise I would be forever emptying my purse into it. Its not quite full yet but I would guess it might be by the end of the year. I am not sure how much will be in there, but I wondered what you think of the fact that I could potentially have a fair bit of money in there thats not actually earning any interest.
I have actually bought a couple as presents and started them off with £2 coins.

Can't think of the name of them though but they're made of clay (?) and are beautifully decorated......if I remember quite rightly they are on the expensive side as well aren't they??
I also think that the money saved in them are supposed to be spent on something nice rather than bills/put in a savings account.2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.

Yes they are and I know the name now. They are called Terramundi. When you first get it you are supposed to make a wish and put it in the pot. Also I think there might be some sort of fortune/prediction in it.
I am thinking about using the money to buy a wireless music system, now that would be something nice. Saw a nice one in Costco made by Philips but there are few not so good reviews. Hopefully by the time my pot is full they will have made some revisions to it.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
