laptop to tv audio cable!!

    hi, i am trying to connect my laptop to tv as well. I asked in currys and they said because my laptop doesn't have a hdmi port i will have to buy two leads, one for sound and one for picture. Is this correct? My tv is a samsung 1080p (a year old)

  • above wher i put the monitor cable its labelled up as RGB (PC) next to that its labelled up as AUDIO IN (RGB/DVI) under that then is the connection for the cable

    Looks fine. They're pretty standard things. If you need a 5 metre length, go for it!
