Hi there.
I have a few questions that I need help with - for some reason the "search" function never works for me, grrrr!!
1. I have what looks like grease marks in my new white vest top, they are not fresh and the top has been washed numerous times but I still cant get the marks out - any ideas? The top is new so I'd hate to have to throw it away!!
2. Whats an easy/cheap/OS way of unblocking sinks?? Ours are always blocked up at home and its very annoying.
Thank you very much.

Try bicarbinate of soda & lemon juice (pour together from seperate vessals as you want the fizzing action to happen in the drain) for the blocked sink, followed by a good dose of HOT vinegar. Or a sink plunger is hard work but almost never fails if you have one:p

I had a top with a grease stain quite recently. I was advised to rub some neat washing up liquid into it and throw in the washine machine (along with washing powder etc). It worked for me, but it might take a couple of goes with the washing up liquid for some stubborn stains.

In the MEGA INDEX cleaning section, there are several threads about unblocking sinks.
There is also THIS THREAD on a previous discussion relating to removing grease marks which might help your top.

I can certainly recommend 'One Shot' from Hardware Stores for the blocked sink. Only advice is to use with extreme caution - it does what it says on the bottle - gets rid in one shot! Mr Muscle was pants in comparison.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Sign up for the TCHIBO newsletter. They sell a drain unblocker for about £3.99 - £4.99 and that works really well. Also the washing soda poured down once a month or so. At 52p a packet its a darn sight cheaper than having to get a plumber.
For blocked toilets, I recommend getting using and then keeping just for this purpose a vileda type mop and cheapest bucket you can find. They are wonderful for plunging the old carsey and getting blocks to shift. Followed by a ton of boiling water. Just dont use it on the kitchen floor!!!!!!!!
If you are a car booter and see these buckets grab one - and keep it just for that purpose. The mops can be picked up for about a pound on the market I think.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Washing soda and boiling water might also help with a blocked drain.
With some grease marks, a little eucalyptus oil dabbed on the stain, and then washed might help.0
