different councils are adopting different policies with regard to paying LHA to landlords directly - you should ask your council what criteria they have adopted0

A builder associate my partner knows, rents out most of his properties through an agent who acts on behalf of the council. Falkirk is soon to be doing this pilot project, but I recall when speaking with the council, it wasn't starting until next year.
I look in to that when it starts. Especially as I'm moving to Edinburgh after the wedding and, although current problems exist with my BTL property, it's something I would consider for renting out my home a 4 bedroom semi.bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -
I used to be an HB tennant. I paid deposit and first months rent then every month standing order for rent on the 1st. HB would be paid 4 weekly in arrears and could often be messed up but my responisibility was to my LL to pay rent in full in advance. As long as you have that agreement you'll be fine. Can you make it clear that the rent is their responsibility and delayed LHA payments will not be an acceptable excuse for not paying rent.Riding out the receession.........0
