Help!

hello all!

to cut a long story short i'm in real financial bother!

3 years ago i had debts of around 13k. they have now all been pretty much paid off.

however, i have a massive amount of outgoings this month due to my previous bad management with money.

i.e old phone bills, parking fines, etc.

i'm a 23 yr old estate agent and with the market being how it is at the moment i have only taken home £1000 this month!

my totol outgoings are £880 including rent etc.

this leaves me with a mere £120 for food and petrol.

because of my job i cant not use my car and i spend around £30 a week on petrol.

because of my bad credit rating my bank wont give me an overdraft so my next plan is to try and find a 2nd job to supplement my income. i work a 50 hour week most of the time though so nothing too streneous! lol.

i'm not a theif so nothing illegal!

any ideas would be greatly appreciated ( evenings )

i have LOADS of designer clothes...any ideas where i can sell some? ebay seems to be so cheap and the thought of selling a £60 shirt for £3 kills me!

ideas please!

james

You are best to head over to the "Debt-free wannabe" board, the lovely folks on that board will be able to give you great advice.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

    Hi James,
I'd advise starting my giving yourself a full financial review. Pop over to the Debt-Free Wannabe board (even if you're not in debt as such) and read the sticky about posting your SOA (statement of affairs). If you post your SOA, then people will help you cut down your monthly expenses and organise your affairs in the best way.

Then secondly think about upping your income. There's a page somewhere on the main MSE site with a good intro on this. There's also a dedicated board on this forum.

Selling some of your clothes sounds like a great idea. Again, people on the DFW board will I'm sure have some suggestions for you.
    Good luck!
