Where to put £10,000 savings

I have £10,000 to put away for at least 1 year.

Where is the best place to put my money with a descent saving rate??

Comments

  • Into my account as part of an investment fund for a business...

Seriously though, look for the highest rate saving account you can.

If you are willing to put it away for one year and NEVER touch it then you'll probably get a decent rate.

Although I don't like to advocate this site, moneysupermarket.com will give you an idea of whats hot on the market at the moment.

You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • Not really relevant to the question I know, but out of idle curiosity whilst browsing various threads here, I came across a reference to:

    www.entitledto.co.uk.

Having nothing better to do whilst eating my lunch, I filled in the questionaire. It seems that for savings of £10,000, the government currently assumes an income of £16 a week (£832 a year). I wish.
