This great book from Haynes is packed full to the gunnel of things for your class to make and do, with barrels of information, photographs and illustrations about pirates – from ships, costumes and weapons to knots, flags and booty. Children can make their own treasure, play pirate party games and cook pirate food – including ‘maggots on tack’ and a ‘galleon gateau’.
Haynes are offering five Literacy Time PLUS readers the chance to win a copy of the Pirate Manual. Plus, the first person drawn will also win a treasure chest of pirate goodies, including a Captain’s hat, treasure map, skull and crossbones bandana, pirate earring, eyepatch and tattoos.
