1. The Promotion is open only to UK residents aged 18 and over. Entry into the Promotion is prohibited for directors, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management and employees) of the Promoter, John Lewis Plc and The London Eye Company Limited or the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion.
2. No payment is necessary.
3. Closing date for receipt of entries is 10 April 2009 (‘Closing Date’) at 12.00
4. Promotion limited to one entry per person.
5. The first five entries selected at random by an independent judge from all the entries received by the Closing Date will be classified as winners (the ‘Winners’) and will each receive: a tasting experience for two people on the London Eye to take place on Saturday 9th May 2009 at 19.30. (Guests to arrive at 19.00)
6. The ‘First prize’ includes overnight accommodation with breakfast for the night of Saturday 9th May 2009 at the five star Marriott County Hall Hotel and a large Green & Black’s hamper containing a selection of chocolate bars and gifts to the value of £50 RRP. The overnight accommodation will consist of one double or one twin room for the winner and their guest. The Winners and their guest are individually responsible for the making of, and cost of arrangements for, their own transport to and from The London Eye and Marriott County Hall Hotel for cost of their meals excluding the chocolate contained within the First Prize.
7. This prize is not an exclusive experience. It is to be shared with other winners which may result in up to 12 guests in the Capsule. This prize cannot be refunded or re-scheduled if the time slot for the Green & Black’s Chocolate Tasting Capsule is missed by the winner.
8. Five further entries drawn at random by an independent judge from all remaining entries by the closing date will be classified as runners-up (the ‘Runners-Up’) and will each receive: a medium Green & Black’s hamper containing a selection of Green & Black’s chocolate bars and gifts to the value of £30 RRP (the ‘Runner-Up Prize’). The Runner-Up Prize will be delivered during a normal working day, in business hours to each Runner-Up’s address as provided to the Promoter on their entry, prizes will be delivered within 14 days of the promotion closing date.
9. The decision of the judge is final. No monetary value is attached to the First Prize and Runner-Up Prize and no alternative, cash or otherwise, is available. The Promoter reserves the right to offer a similar prize of equal or greater value in place of the First Prize and/or the Runner-Up Prize. The Promotion may be withdrawn at any time where reasonably required.
10. Each Winner and Runner-Up will be notified by post within 14 days of the Closing Date. First Prize Winners must claim their prize not later than 30 April 2009, full details on claiming the prize will be made available in the winners letter. If any First Prize is unclaimed after this time, the particular Winner’s rights under this Promotion will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed First Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the Promotion rules. The Winners’ and Runners-Up’s details, (name and county), will be made available on request to those writing to Green & Black’s Waitrose Promotion, Green & Black’s Ltd., 2 Valentine Place, London, SE1 8QH within 10 weeks after the published Closing Date, enclosing a SAE.
11. The promotion Winners and Runners-Up must agree to, and may be required to, participate in publicity arising from this Promotion.
12. By entering the Promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the Promotion rules.
13. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
