Boiler & wireless digi stat???

Can i use a Drayton Digi Stat (probably RF-1) if I have a Vaillant EcoTec 831 plus combi installed?
Or is there something better that I should use to control the boiler - I like the idea of having no wiring and being able to put it where I want. Can I control the bolier from the actual controls on the boiler or not?
I have also considered a GlowWorm 30CXI will this work in the same way? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Alan

I have the GlowWorm 30cxi combined with a Honeywell RF stat and it's working great.
I'm not a plumber or an electrician but I'm fairly sure that thermostats and boilers are interchangeable... the honeywell stat is excellent, a definite improvemnet on no thermostat at all!0 -
I've used the RF1 on many combis without any problem at all, as far as the boiler is concerned it's simply receiving the signal as if it were coming from an ordinary room stat, the only difference is the power supply needed for the seperate receiver.0

Are there any wireless stats that can be retro-fitted ?
Our boiler is ancient but VERY reliable. Unfortunately there is no stat in the house and wiring 1 would be a nightmare.0
