I had a letter telling me i may have been mis-sold my PPI policy from Egg in December, I called them to say I wanted to lodge a claim, they wrote to me on 23 December to say they were looking into it and would respond in 28 days, they are now 7 days over the 28 day deadline, what should my next move be,
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

Sorry this one was missed, so will bump this up the thread for you.
Since you've posted this have you heard anything?
If not and the letter stated 28 days, then maybe you should have heard by now, I am not certain if they would have included weekends, or straight 28 days throughout, so maybe someone will be able to clarify on this part for you.
Also if you've still not heard, ring the Financial ombudsman service who will be able to direct you from here, as they may state wait the usual 8 weeks, make the FOS aware the letter states 28 days which have gone by, they may even suggest they will send further details on your behalf to the company, see what they say hun and good luck.;)
