The Fabulous February Nsd Challenge

  • Hi - new recruit here. I did count in January, and reckon I am on course to make it 16 NSDs by month end. February may not be so easy, as I am away for a week, but I'm still going to try for 16 NSDs; I will need them to compensate for what I spend while I am away! ;)

Afternoon Lula and the NSDers! (That sounds like a pop group! :D )

It's all a bit different this month so I'm not sure how many NSDs to go for.

Rather than do a huge Lidl shop plus two or three smaller tops ups I'm planning to shop weekly and locally at the butchers and the market to see if I can cut our grocery spend in this way. Then I will input my remaining shopping list into mysupermarket.com and see where I should go and buy it all to get the best prices.

We used to fill up the car reguiar as clockwork on the same day that I did he shopping because Hubby had to drive 100 miles a day - but now we'll try to go as long as possible between fill ups.

My daughter has the orthodontist this month as usual which usually involves bus fare and treats but we should be able to use the car and skip the treats, :( so that won't have to be a spend day.

It's my daughter's birthday and Valentines Day this month, plus my Mum is going back into hospital so there'll be some spending involved with those things. Hopefully Hubby will have interviews so there might be some travel spending if he has to get into central London.

It's difficult to predict really.

I'm going to go for 20 NSDs which leaves me with 8 potential spend days in February If I combine my spending as much as poss I should be Ok on that number.

Apologies for letting the side a bit down by reducing my target but I'm hoping that having an achievable target will cheer me up when I hit it - rather than make me despondent if I fail to make it. :o

    Good luck NSDers!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Yay new challenge thread! I got far too excited when I saw this... ;)

Thank you for putting me down, I too forgot about the whole '28 days in Feb' thing but on the upside it does mean payday comes around a little quicker - silver lining - ?

Good luck everyone, is it just me or are NSD's slightly addictive?

After giving this challenge a break in Dec and Jan I would like to go for 14 days in February please. No wait! February only has 28 days! Ooh, that makes it ever so slightly harder. Hmm... no excuses, it can be done, I'm sure! 14 it is!

The supermarket is definitely a spend day for me, budgeted or not. I'm guessing it's not for arthurdent... unless he plans to go very hungry? :D
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

I'm so glad that the 31st of January is a Saturday. I'm going to go and stock up at the supermarket in preparation for the challenge!! The first day of the challenge will be a nice relaxing Sunday.

They're addictive... but I also dread them at the same time.
Actually... I dread the going hungry from not being able to buy snacks, but I love the extra cash in my wallet.

  • I think I can manage 3 NSDs a week in February. In addition the first Sunday of the month should be a NSD as well so please can I set an official target of 13 NSDs this month Lula Hula.

Many thanks for looking after the thread for all of us and giving Lillmissmup and Jacks a break.

    Hi

It will be my first NSD challenge so can you please put me down for 5 days. I would much rather set a small target and achieve it rather than be too ambitious and fail miserably.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T
