A very old thread of mine popped up in my subscriptions and like a nostalgic muppet I've just read it all over again from start to finish and posted a (not so
) quick update so I really need to do my eBay packing and then drag my carcass off to bed insanely early cos I'm am so-o-o-o-o tired.
So if today's the 8th I think I'm on NSD number 5.
Mum is in hospital after her op and "doing as well as can be expected" the nurses say. They won't be drawn on how long she's likely to be in for, but I would expect it will be at least another week.
Take care all,
Sorry about the short (for me at least!) post.

Allo to all you fine non-spenders.
By the dint of finding myself lots of house things to do, including taking a carload to the recycling centre, I've managed a totally NS weekend. Can't say it's been the most exciting ever, but I feel strangely and unusually virtuous.
However, I'm now heading for 5 spending days, so I needed those NSDs in the bank. Hope your NSDs are passing painlessly...0 -

Well done you! Yes, it's a funny old feeling isn't it?! I'm sure I'll get more used to it as I carry on, and hopefully it will become 'the norm' rather than breaking out the debit card at every opportunity!!
NSD number 3 for me today - but then I have been asleep for most of the day, so I'm not convinced that counts.0 -
