I have just received my gas and electricity bill for Oct to Jan and it's £931.70 I can't pay it and they have told me they are going to put pre-pay meter in. I live alone and I'm unemployed. I can't beleive the jump. This time last year was

I was a wreck yesterday when this came in but they assure me it's correct. I have a combi boiler so water heats as it runs no appliances left on standby etc use television and 1 bedside lamp. Can this be right.:mad: I meant to say I'm with Scottish power for both.. I've switched the heating off now and don't intend putting it back on. 4 bedroomed detached house. I'm on £60.50 a week benefit.

How many kwh of gas and elec do you use a day at present? Are the meter readings on your bill actual or estimated?0
