Reboot and keep pressing F8 to get safe mode up
    Select SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

    UPDATE and FULL SCAN

There's lots of free av software about - Have a look at Avast it's one of my favourites. For a software firewall, use either Zonealarm or (preferably) comodo.
If I have helped in any way, and you feel like it - please press the thanks button

Another 'yes' for Avast, it's a very good piece of free software. Link for the free version : http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
