GBP/USD soaring higher....

just pawing through the figures from the US that came out at 1.30 london time

looks like they were all alot worse than expected, (less goods sold, more people out of work) so it can only mean bad news for the Dollar and good news for the Pound

Cable (otherwise known as GBP/USD) has spiked up to 1.44 very very briefly about 10 mins ago, and now back to 1.4350

needs to get through that 1.4370 level and comfortably stay there for a while

today Cable seems likely to rattle around between 1.4170 and 1.4340, with favour to the top side.

if it can break through 1.4340, and sustain the move, we should look to reach 1.4475, then possibly 1.4650



Blanchflower the MPC chap from BOE didn't really say anything last night that we don't already know, so didn't have any major effect on the markets.
