bathgatebuyer wrote: »Hi all. I had a bit of a naff start to the day when the guy I thought would do mobile dent repairs told me that my car was too badly damaged and needed to go to a bodyshop  and should cost roughly £300 to fix (the lip of the part of the bumper which goes around the light is slightly out of shape and causing the light to fall out). Unfortunately it's an MOT matter which would cause it to fail the MOT
Sooooo, bodyshop it is then. I've also got an emissions warning light on and the MOT is due on 17th Feb so I can seriously see myself spending upwards of £500 to goodness knows what over the next month on my car just to keep it legal and on the road. Bloody cars.
Emissions light. Depending on the car, it may just need plugs or the Lamda plug ( emissions sensor ) both of which are not v expensive. Or remove the warning light fuse/bulb ( good to doif ABS light comes on too). it doesnt neccessarily mean the emissions or MOT fails just cos th lights on.:D stay wonky

Just an aside note to say;that it is really nice to see you being so positive about the next year and putting all the worries you have had behind you.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Thanks for that, very kind of you to say. I have been guilty of over-analysing (and over analysing!) in the past...I guess I am just chilling out a little now.
How are things with you?I'm the only gay in this forum
