Letter from Zurich Assurance Re Unclaimed Assets?

My partner and I have today both received a letter from Zurich Assurance requesting us to confirm our details in order to search for Unclaimed Assets they suspect may be ours.

The letters appear genuine and they have provided a return addressed envelope to go to the registered office in Swindon, but ever the sceptic, I'm wondering if this is just a marketing ploy.

Has anyone else received this, or similar from other company, in reference to searching the Unclaimed Assets register?

There's a, not dissimilar, thread on the 'work' Georgeson (part of the Registrar 'Computershare') do in tracing lost assets. I thought I had read somewhere that Zurich offer a similar facility .... but can't find that.

As Zurich appear to participate in the UAR - possibly it's assets within (Allied Dunbar / Sterling ?) they are referring to?
