I have just received photos from both Truprint and Panasonic. The panasonic ones are far superior to the Truprint ones. I don't think I would use Truprint again.

Thanks that is good to know I used Truprint ages ago and was not too impressed. Since then I have used winkflash and photobox which are good. Perhaps it is time to give Panasonic a try

A few things to bear in mind.

The size of most Digital Camera images is 6 x 4.5 inches - NOT ALL firms will print this - hence your image will be cropped - if you don't realise this it can result in missing heads etc. Even if you can manually adjust the area to be cropped, it takes some time, and can still be irratating at times to have to crop.

The images can be resized by the firms, to reduce their storage capacity - obviously not good!

The quality of the printing can vary in a fair bit between different firms THEY ARE NOT ALL EQUAL

It is a good idea to get a calibration print from the printer - that way you can adjust your monitor to match the colours on the print. If not, what looks good on your screen can look bad when printed, through no fault of the printers.

Some photo editing programmes (Photoshop) remove the camera data from the jpeg when editting, which can result in darker prints then you might expect - take this into account when editting, and increase the brightness a touch.

You will need Broadband to upload - you can submit via CD, but you will not benefit ftom the cheaper rates

All that said, I have used Photobox a good few times and have been thrilled with the results, and the speed - and certainly less hassal than going into town! They allow all print sizes to be chosen, even on the same order.
I have also used Truprint, and was disappointed - they only do 6 x 4 which was not satisfactory, and the quality wasn't as good.

if you go thru ipoints you can get 20 free prints from jessops, plus 400 points for registering (unsure if this applies on free prints)

delivery charge inc, but free if you collect from a jessops store

have used them and the pics were good quality and the service was excellent
