Cooking Course / Weekend

Hi,
I am looking for a good cooking course / cooking weekend for 2 people. I live in south east england but would not rule out courses all over the uk or in france if they are highly recommended.
I would like to have the course as part of a large group to keep the cost reasonable and to be sociable!
Thanks,
Matthew

How about Rick Stein's Cooking school in Padstow? I've not been but have heard good things. Though it's limited to fish, obviously!!!
Hugh's River Cottage in Dorset does a lot of courses as well covering a huge range of tastes.
Sorry there both a bit 'celebrity'!!!0 -
nick nairn cook school
Long way away from you but very good indeed.
Runs throughout the year.
There were about 12 people on the course I did and this seems to be about average speaking to a number of people who I discovered afterwards had previously been.

There is the Ashburton School of Cookery near Newton Abbott in Devon - my brother did a weekend course there a couple of years ago and said it was really good.
The Bertinet Kitchen in Bath is also really good for courses. I don't think they do weekends but they do day courses so you could have a weekend in Bath and a day's course in cooking. I have done a day course there and I can highly recommend it. Plus you could spend the other day at the Bath Spa which is also highly recommended!0 -
