can anyone recommend a nominee sharedealing account?

Hi

My parents have an Abbey nominee sharedealing account where thet have the opportunity to buy/sell shares over the phone at a reasonable price, but recently they received a letter saying there were increasing the price per share and introducing a quarterly fee (£10) if a deal hadnt been done on the account within 3month, so wish to change the account.

I have asked and they can close the account and transfer any shares out for free but has to be done before 1/3/09. They dont know how to use a computer and dont speak great english so need a company which can trade simply so no option 1, then 2 then 4 and 4. etc etc. So any recommendations would be great.

TIA
michelle

OK, I think that the iii account is similiar to abbey's nominee account.

    1) They can trade over the phone for £10 per trade.

    2) They can link a debit card to the account, and can take payment over the phone and trade as soon as the payment has been taken

    3) They can put a min and max price of the share which is valid upto 90days. With a £2 charge, but £2 will be deducted from the commission charge, therefore still pay no more than £10 per trade. (thats good- as long as the price falls to the chosen price)

    4) But they dont offer any dealing limit so funds need to be cleared befoer any trade can take place.

    5) They can transfer all existing nominee shares into the account, and accept additional share certificates to the account free of charge.

Is this all correct?? And does anyone know how quickly they do the transfers in??

And has anyone had any experience with Halifax in how quickly are they able to transfer shares in??

    TIA
