Paypal and paying by credit card

I want to pay for an item with my credit card, but it's not my primary card. How do i pay by credit card instead of my bank account?

  • When you go to pay for the item it should say use different card or something like that you click it and change the method of payment.
Thats if you've registered/ added your credit card with paypal first.

I just paid for an item by card instead of through account like normal. When you log in to paypal to pay there is an option to pay by account - you click on alternative option and this is where I added my credit card!

I tried and it didn't with me, all it said was if the money is denied being taken from my bank account then the credit card will be used as a back up fund  I have money in my bank account to pay so it's saying it will be taken from there

I did that, it says instant bank transfer £..... from Natwest account ......... back up funding source credit card
  • oh dear, does it not give you the option to change them?

Or instead of changing the source of funding at checkout try logging into paypal and change your main source of funding to the credit card.
