Well I do not have a problem as such in something that is not working but what I am trying to do is submit a link other than a website onto a post to share with others.

Now the link is to an excell sheet and not a website as such.. Any ideas on how i can submit it to a post? it is not letting me copy an paste it, I think this is because the excell sheet has formuals in it...

I'm not totally clear what you are trying to do here.

If you are trying to paste a link to a spreadheet on your pc into a post then it wont work because you need somewhere to host the spreadsheet (ie it needs to be on a web server).

If you want to copy and paste details form a spreadsheet but have issues with formulas you can highlight all the cells, click copy, then go to 'paste special', select 'values', then click 'ok'. This will replace all the cells that contained formulas with the value the formula returned.

If this doesn't answer your question please state a bit more clearly what you want to do. :T

Yeah seems like it has to be web based (hosted).. as you cant cop/paste directly.

    Hi
Have a look at this posting from Tim_L it has links to a spreadsheet and a zip file (loaded from this site) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=512

    Here " http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/files/matcher.zip

    or unzipped at

    http://www.apqs69.dsl.pipex.com/matcher.xls
    "

You will need to put the spreadsheet onto an internet server so everyone can "see" it and link to it to download. Tim_L seems to have used the free webspace from his ISP. So you will need to upload/ftp to any webspace you have access to.

If you just want to show the figures/formulaes you need to take a snapshot of the spreadsheet - alt+print screen, maybe ctl+print screen and then paste from the clipboard into paint etc and save as a jpeg and upload (insert image) to your posting here.

Hope I have the right end of the stick and that helps.
