in Credit cards
Just been into my local branch and they're plugging their credit card with 9 months @ 0% and no balance transfer fee. I already have a Mastercard with them. Do you think it's worth ringing them to see if they will swop my Mastercard to a Visa to get the 0% deal. The girl at the counter didn't know and she suggested I just apply for another card. Also told her my income was below the £10,000 amount on the form but she also said just to put it as £10,000. Surely that can't be a good idea!! I don't want to be turned dwon for a card as I never have before.

Just checked on their web site, and the 'No balance transfer fee' is for RBS Current account holder only isn't it. Non-Current account holders get charged 2% (Min £5, Max £49)
Or is the 'No Transfer Fee' (For non-current account holders) applicable if you apply in store?0 -
I got told on the phone fee free as long you apply in-bank hence them advising send the application form back to them for process.Tell it as it should be....0

I've just checked the paperwork I brought home and there is a 2% fee if you are a non RBS bank account holder.0

I was in a Barclays branch today checking on current CC offers. Picked up a leaflet for fee free BT 10 months purchases 3 months. However the offer closes on 15 Feb. Also checked HSBC who said their current 0% BT 9 months will end about then, (sorry forgot the exact date). Neither is any good to me as I'll need new deals in June and September. Have just got a new deal with Lloyds/TSB and managed to up the credit limit from £2k to £12k after many phone calls and sending in bank statements and proof of income. Have a feeling that I read somewhere though that they no longer offer 0% BT with no handling fee. Mine was fee free so maybe I got in just in time.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420
