Taking Out Sky In Another Family Members Name?

I left Sky quite a while back, but am tempted to go back however it says new customers only, If I put it through in another family members name what would happen? Is this allowed?

How long ago was "a while back"?

I think over a year and you can be treated as a new customer... check with Sky.

Deciding whether it is a new customer or not is based on address.

Again, why not phone Sky and ask... what have you got to lose?

You mean fraudently obtaining goods or services by making a false statement? Yeah it's disallowed as it's a criminal offence.

As has been mentioned, you're likely to be classed as a new customer anyway and if they give you any grief, just mentino that in that case, it's not worth it and you may as well get freesat.

  • Have a chat with one of the Sky reps in the shopping centres. Something along the lines of free Sky+ if bought with a subscription, with just a £30 odd charge for install seems to be available.

Not sure where you live, but Castlecourt, or Fairhill/Tower Centre reps seem to be genned up on this.

    Cheers.
