Have used the Roma pass. Check out what sights you want to see as there is an archeological pass also. Think it costs around 15 euros to get into the Coloseum, forum and paletine hill and that is valid for 2 days. That is by far the biggest attraction. The vatican is free and the vatican museum is not included it is 15 Euros. There are a lot of free sights like the pantheon and open excavations near the forum. The transport system is good. Can see the sight in Rome by walking if you are reasonably fit as it is not an enormous city. Will depend on where you decide to stay if you need the travel portion of your ticket. Go and look on trip adviser as there is a lot of info there. It is a lovely city. Eating is expensive as are the shops but there are some cheaper places out of the main area or visit McD's or buy food out the supermarkets.0

Yes i bought the Roma Pass for my recent visit in September. It was worth it just to jump the huge queue at the Colloseum! We also used it at Palatine/Roman Forum.
We used the buses all the time aswell, which are very regular & more convenient than the metro.
I bought my pass at Ciampino Airport.
