I'll add to that.
I HAVE had the offer, I hold no other accounts, but do have 35k+ cash isa..
Don't know if I ill be taking it...
Advise, is it worth it, or do you think others will offer more in the coming year?0 -

Maybe it is random then. I've been following the other thread and from the postings, those that had have the offer were 'new' Lloyds customers and those that hadn't, already banked with Lloyds. Plus there was a posting below by whu on that thread.I have been into a branch and saw the information provided to staff about this offer - it said that not all customers will receive a letter and it will depend on balance and relationship with the bank - it also said that if a household has more than 1 ISA with lloyds only one of either the husband or wife will get the letter - the advisor also said that it is likely that if 1 member of the household has less of a relationship with the bank (ie only opened an account recently) they are more likely to get the letter in order to entice them to do more business with the bank - it seems that long standing customers are getting less priority!!
Hope that clarifies things
There again another poster on querying no letter with Lloyds was told it was being ''rolled out''. If they do need a commitment by 09/02 they are cutting it fine for those customers not currently offered the fixed. If I do at some point get the offer with a later decision deadline, those rushed into a 09/02 decision deadline will feel aggrieved. If I get a completely different offer altogether ............... ?0 -
My personal opinion is that I'm going to stick with LloydsTSB and save the hassle of transferring.
I was looking at Julian Hodge (4%), but not being online applications etc. put me off, and when I did some rough maths for my personal circumstances (£14500 + £3600 in April), I came to the conclusion that changing was only worth another £136 or something, I just can't be bothered with all the aggrevation, easier just to re-sign for Lloyds and make sure this years allowance goes in bang on the day (whatever that day may be!)
Cheers

I'll support your theory. I've had a current account and small savings accounts for over 40 years. Also, quite a large amount in the ISA and I haven't received the offer.0 -

I didn't get the letter either!
SueBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Hi,
As others have said it seems the letter has only been sent mainly to New customers. That's the case with me. I do think it's unfair to long standing customers though, especially if they have saved quite a bit.
You should all threaten to take your cash elsewhere, or maybe if you go in and speak to an adviser they may have the authority to offer you the new fixed rate. It may be worth a try.0 -
Just to follow up on this - my wife joined Lloyds last year - I have been with them for 20 years - we both have the current ISA - she got a letter and I didn't - following up from the information I was given it seems that I won't get the letter as only 1 from each household will get it
Hi whu, myself and my partner both received the offer letter and we live together. My girlfriend has been with Lloyds for over 10 years (current a/c and savings) but I only become a customer last year with the fixed rate ISA. It seems like it is very random as no pattern is clear.
I am unsure as to whether to go for the offer, still thinking about it.0 -
Should I stay or should I go now.......
May have to send it off today and just forget for a year. 30k+ with LLoyds, new customer last year with transfer.0 -
I have not had a letter from them yet. How do you apply?0
