Winter sports - income cover?

Hi,
Sorry if this was discussed earlier in this forum, but quick search revealed no results.
Basically what I want is to get an insurance for my winter sports trip. In fact, I already have one but it only covers medical expenses and some useless things such as missed plane, avalanche closure, etc.
What I really want is an insurance which would pay my bills (mortgage included) if I brake my leg and wouldn't be able to work for half a year or even more.
I have looked at (and called a couple of) various insurance websites but couldn't find anything useful. The closest case I managed to find was "Permanent total disablement" which only handles extreme cases, such as amputation.
There are some "income protection" insurance packages in the market but I'm afraid they have exclusions for things like ski&snowboarding trips. Moreover, one typically needs to sign the papers few months in advance in order to claim whereas I'm departing at the end of this week.
Any advice is really appreciated.
