It's time to sort out blinds again now and I have decided to go with a local company.
Mechelle - if you need any further help please pm me.
I may take you up on this in the near future I now have an 8-12 week wait to see what transpires

Hi Mechelle,
I got bad news for you. When the shutters come, check the sides, there will be a hole, with a screw. This is where you tighten the shutters louvres. Mine snapped after 14 months, rang hillarys, to be told I had a 13 month guarantee, but would I like another appointment to buy some more? It goes to show, you get what you pay for i guess.

Goes to show... I had hillarys in and a local company for my vertical blinds. I got quotes for identical blinds from boths... (same manufacturer, colour, etc). Local company said, look, I can't beat Hillarys but this is the guarantee you get with me. I'm based locally and I care about my customers. Needless to say I went with the local company even though it was £50 more overall.... Safe in the knowledge that should something go wrong he's just a phone call away rather than having to deal with Hillary's call centre!!Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

I had same problem after 2 years, but tried again speaking to someone different. Was told 1 year for blinds, 3 for shutters. They sent someone out who ordered me a new panel and fitted it a couple of months latersimonethetramp wrote: »Hi Mechelle,

BBC Watchdog have just run a story on them, they are looking for customers who have been treated badly by them..
Google this and it will take you to the watchdog page...
