Yep 8.55 and landline rang
I answered and it was Aegis on behalf on MBNA
asked for my DOB and I refused saying I dont give out such details on the phone
I asked for the callers name ' So I could note it in my journal '
After a little hesitation he said I have to telephone MBNA and I said I have now written to them 4 times and only want contact in writing
I was very calm and spoke in a monotone.
He said he would note down that I only want written contact.
' Thank you and good evening ma'am '

Well we shall see ......
• Got a letter from Aegis saying I neded to pay them £130 + many missed calls.
I had paid £150 online banking the day before to Virgin of £150. Didn't read the letter thoroughly and wrote on paid by phone to virgin and sent back to the address on letter. Still getting phonecalls. Does anyone have the address so i can send them a stop calling letter and copy of letter. Or anything else you suggest I do.
• Hi, do you have details of the letter you can send to stop them calling you. I had missed a payment but paid it by the time aegis letter reached me, direct to virgin. Wrote on their letter that it was paid and sent it back. However still ringing 10 times a day. wanted to send a letter but don't have their address either. can anyone help!!

Regarding Aegis just dont answer the phone or if you do by accident refuse to give your details and say ' why are you harassing me ? ' They will say goodbye

This is the letter I sent and it has worked !!!
No calls and only 1 text since the day after I sent it via recorded delivery
The people on this board are heroes to me

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.
I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.

I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.
I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.
Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded.
