I was in my local Barclays branch today, finalising my new A/C to get the £100(Thanks Martin).
The lady who was confirming my details, was also doing a sales patter.
She mentioned that they were bringing out a new regular savings A/C about the 15 Feb that would pay around 8-10%.
It would require that you funded your regular Barclays A/C by a minimum of £1000/month.
The maximum that you can fund your regular saver will be £250/month,you can then remove the remainder.
The regular saver will last 1 year and no withdrawls will be allowed within this time.
More details will be released around 13 th Feb.

The good thing with a Barclays current account is the flexibility of being able to pay in and take out cash at any PO counter also:

But I'm not sure whether paying in is instant, as it is with Alliance and Leciester..
'8-10%', haven't they decided yet?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

This could make keeping the Barclays account active (beyond the 2 month period required for the £100) all of a sudden slightly attractive. Thanks for the heads up, rotate!0
