Statement of Affairs.... basically your incomings and outgoingsI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Think its a very good time for me to start budgeting. All my wage has got to go straight to the bills and we are going to have to leave on his benefits until he gets a job. This month will be okay as we both have been paid but March will be interesting. He has to pay £50 a week for his child which he doesn't want to tell his ex he can't pay because of the hassle so thats coming out of my savings.
Wish my luck everyone
Oh no CTL, sorry to hear that!
I hope you manage to sort something out. I know how hard it can be when you finally think your going to crack something and then it all goes wrong.

changestolife sorry to hear about the redundancy. My otherhalf is also in the process of clearing down debt and sorting 'money stuff' out.
I think just thinking about your situation and spending time to get the mind frame right to budget and change things is enough to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Every journey starts with a single step. You also know ever journey might have a few wrong turns which is expected. But the desire and wish to make the journey and succeed is the bit you need to focus on and make some positive action. Good luck0 -
Well some little news my partner got his job back last Thursday but only him, a company bought the company he was redundant from so good news. He still gets some of his redundancy money back so even better :-) Now little confused I went to reduce my overdraft this morning after sticking to my budget all month. It said i can't up the limit only reduce which is all i want to do, i typed in the amount i wanted "from 1340 to 1230" it came up with "due to recent activities in your account your overdraft will be lowed to 1000" AHHHHH can you believe it, i think its coz i took all that money out beginning of the money. I'm going to have to ring them and say i can't have it that low i wont be able to live! My skipped about a thousands bits.
This happened to anyone else?Overdraft - £1,850
Tesco Credit card - £1,0770 -
Well I've just spoke to the bank and she says that my account has changed and the highest overdraft they can offer me is 1000! Great coz i took that money out at the beginning of the month its bugged my whole overdraft limit up. This means i can take the set amount money out for food shopping and petrol as for spare cash well it will just have to stay in my bank and i'll just not take my card out unless i know i'm going somewhere and then be really careful as if i had the cash not the card. AHHH this is going to behard.
On the up side at least my overdraft has gone down hahaOverdraft - £1,850
Tesco Credit card - £1,0770
