Are they awake at ING ?

Encouraged by the recommendation on Martin's weekly e-mail, OH and I rang ING, checked that we could open an account and count as new customers to earn their 4%. That was Thursday 15th Jan.
The following Tuesday, I rang again to ask after the application pack, to be told they had a backlog. Nothing has arrived by today (26th) so we've put our savings back in West Bromwich.
We had an account with ING when they first started and liked the way it was so easy to manage. But they obviously don't want our money.
Anyone else had this trouble?

Got an e mail and letter from ing this week saying that my savings in Kaupthing Edge would be moved across into ing weekend 7/8 and will send me pin numbers etc, one thing wrong I do not have any savings with Kaupthing although I would be grateful if they did open an account for me with some money in it.

We contacted ING on behalf of a relative and full contact details were taken but (as reported above) the letter still took over a week to arrive at my relative's - which seems a long time. This does seem quite slow compared with when I opened my original ING account online and my mum opened hers over the phone several years back.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

I applied on the 11th Jan. I've had my direct debit confirmation back, but haven't got my welcome pack yet.0

ING pack arrived today, a full fortnight after we originally applied. Too late. We took the West Brom 90 day account at 4.75%.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
