Anyone had experience of closing KaupthingEdge FixedRate Account?

Help!
I need release the fund in my Kaupthingedge Fixed Rate account to put down for a deposit for house purchase.

I have just spoken to KaupthingEdge, and was fobbed off with a response of "We don't know how long it will take. They are still processing backlog of requests. I can send an internal note to the department to process the closure but can't say how long it will take"

I asked who I should speak to to chase up next week, and she said that I should just online.

Poor service. Wish I had never invested with them. Wish I'd withdrawn back in November.

Has anyone here sucessfully managed to close their Fixed Rate Account with aupthingEdge, and if so, how long did it take before you received the money back into your linked account.

Yep, closed 2 bonds just before Christmas (23rd Dec). Was told that it could take up to a couple of weeks... in fact money was in my linked account exactly one week later, which I thought was pretty good given it was the Christmas period with bank hols etc.

Thought I would check my KaupthingEdge account again to see if they'd replied to my secure message and I was surprised to see that the funds from my Fixed Rate account had been released into my KE Savings Account.
Hallelujah!!

I have now requested these funds to be sent to my linked account.
