Hey, i have recently moved to Leeds and have been looking for training and gaining some work experience, but what are the best and most cost effective ways of finding training and work experience.

Mainly ICT - Computers, but im looking to gain any work experience. To put on my CV, i am 18 and have been unemployed for around 6 months, having finished college (sixth form)

the IT skills that i have are
IT Skills: Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Email, Internet and keyboard skills. Can also locate many hardware points on a computer and find and repair moderately difficult problems within a computer (Hardware Related Tasks).

I was hoping you would have said you were interested in Web design, multimedia design, software dev etc If you had I would be confident of finding you some work experience.
Those skills are pretty generic, If I was you I would work out which areas really interest you and seek further training in that area.0 -
I am interested in web design aswell, u said to post my current skills and not post what im interested in, im interest in web design.0

If you're under 25 and have been unemployed for 6 months, you'll be about to go on New Deal. You need to discuss with your advisor what is offered on the scheme in your area in the way of training or work experience or else you may find that anything you organise may clash with the programme.0
