Are tommee tippee and Avent interchangeable?

I bought the avent breast pump when I had my daughter and have the disposable system (where you just pop bags into a bottle shaped thing that screws on like a bottle) I'm pretty sure the pump is now past its best and just about to order a tommee tippee from Asda seeing as it's only £10 in the baby event... So does anyone know if I can screw Avent bottles onto the tommee tippee pump?

No you cant as the TT bottles are much wider at the top than the Avent ones. Is it the Closer to Nature TT range you are getting the breast pump from?
I have both TT and Avent for DS2, he will only take milk from TT, fussy boy!Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -
Yes its the closer to nature... Never mind... Sure I'll be able to just pour from one to the other... Thanks for replyingA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... If you are storing breastmilk you could use the Avent wee tubs you get, they come with lids so are great for storing milk, snacks and you get a conversion top with some that you can screw an Avent teat to it.
Im a big fab of the Closer to Nature bottles so if you could pick some of them up cheap (i did when pregnant, somewhere always got deals on) you could just use them all the time.
My DS1 was an Avent baby all the way but DS2 is a Tommee Tippee baby all the way! Funny how they can be so fussy!!Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -
Hehe, my first was not fussy at all, she didn't care how her milk got there as long as it got there... I don't have many plans for storage, just thought seeing as I've got the disposable system I might aswell use it again... No big deal if I don't though, I might just stick it on eBay... And depends what comes with the pump whether I buy anything else.. Plan on breastfeeding as a rule but Nanny might have to get some bits and pieces in for when the grandchildren come for the weekendA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... there is one bit that fits from one system to the other...we found it out by chance. will check next time I get the ladder out
I think it's the via system pump adaptor will fit the TT pump. I'm not pumping/storing enough to use it yet. IIRC it would mean I could pump directly into the via containers for storage, but would need to pour the milk into a TT bottle for feeding.
if you want some cheap(er) closer to nature bottles, asda had packs of 6 large bottles for £10 in the last baby event, or look in TK maxx. Otherwise the bottles are quite pricey.0 -
Just in case anyone else is interested... I bought the Tomme Tippee pump today (and the extra 6 bottles for £10 in the Asda baby event) And there is a screw adaptor that fits the pump and is the right size for an avent bottle so they are interchangeable!
And it all comes in a sterilising box! Best £10 I've spent this week!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
