GP advise needed
Sorry - not exactly money saving, but I need to register with a GP. I am in Cardiff CF11 and when searching online a number of GPs come up.
Can anyone recommend a particularly nice, clean, light and friendly surgery to register with, please?
Thanks

Hello
I used to live in Canton, and didn't have a choice when it came to registering with a Doctor. Surnames up to the letter M registered at one surgery, and N onwards at the other (or something like that). Canna Surgery is a pretty new surgery, so I guess it would be considered light and airy, and there's also Kings Road Surgery, which is in an older building. I imagine you'll be told which one to register with though (if either of these are in your 'catchment' area so to speak).
Probably best just to ring one and ask them. They'll probably ask for your name and address, and then tell you where you should be registered.0 -

I thought we were supposed to have patient choice and not be told to register with one GP on a take it or leave it basis?
Perhaps Wales is different from England in this respect.......0 -
Avoid Clare Road Surgery like the plague!!!!!
It is horrific. Saltmead is apparently good, and Dr Lush Corporation Rd!!
Hope this helps

No idea. Not even registered with a Dr at the moment! However, when I lived in Canton, surgeries were most definitely allocated on surname. Not Doctor's obviously, surgeries. And quite right too, as otherwise everyone would want to register with the brand new surgery with good parking, fit Doctors etc ...0
