Is my P.C. dieing ?

Hi. Having reloaded Windows I thought my troubles were over but I'm now finding that it's still doing some odd things but different odd things to before.
E.G. I click on control panel and it `flashes up' then goes on to search with the torch. If I'm quick I can `catch' it and carry on BUT it then allows me to click on where I want to go, drops the colour - as it normally does - you know, the paler blue but then takes an hour or two - or so it seems - to go where I want to go.

Any ideas folks?

You did format and not REPAIR yes?

If so, id suggest a FULL format (not a quick one, as they tend to not work well), and complete reinstall

If it still does it then, I agree with barber, you need a new drive

  • Oh Cripes !!

Yes - I'm sure I did the whole thing - it took ages and then I had to install ALL the updates etc. It seemed to be fine but now .....
Oh well - back to the keyboard.

    Thanks anyway.

If your sure you did a full format. The other option is it could be it needs certain drivers to run correctly. (Just because it HAS drivers, doesnt mean theyre the RIGHT drivers)

Did you install ALL drivers you got with the computer? (there should have been at least one main driver disc come with it)
