    You got PM

    Andy
  • Thanks Andy, and if you think SHE sounds good on the phone you should hear me! ;-) I had a sixty year old leather clad client feeling my knee last week I nearly died of embarassment. All the time my business partner was killing himself laughing and I could barely keep a straight face! I asked him nicely to stop and he left! Hardly worth it for a £400 proc fee!

I just like ringing her up to hear her voice lol. God I am such a flirt.

Hope it's useful to you Lisa,

    Glad to help.

Leather clad 60 year old? What niche market do you work in?

    Andy
  • I can be a flirt too, there's a guy at the one account who I talk to all the time. He emailed me a picture of him before xmas and I couldn't believe how good looking he was! Told him he's first on my list when my hubby gets fed up of my strops and leaves!

The leather clad guy, existing client of the IFA I'm connected to, he's worth a fortune apparently, if I'd have known how much he was worth on paper I could have billed him by the second for touching my knee and then I would have the money to do pay per click!

He's still doing his mortgage through us, but business partner is dealling with him, I doubt he'll stroke his knee, he's ex military police!

Mind you though, you never know ;)

Nowt wrong with a bit of flirting, makes the day go quicker and a lot more fun.

    Andy ;)
  • When I started off in business things were slow, you kind of make your own luck work hard and it will come. I think from talking about websites with a number of professional web designers that getting business from it in our very competetive market is hard work. It takes ages for the likes of google to get up to the top of the filter and as someone else has said there are huge companies out there prepared to pay more than we'll make in a year to ensure they are top.

Free add's are availiable in your Yellow Pages and BT directory, certainly on line immediatesly and various other publications. Networking groups may work for you or leaflet drops in your area.

Just read the last couple of posts, not sure that boring mortgage talk is relevant any more, good luck!
  • Completely agreed! I don't know how I'm going to cope working all alone in a tiny little office! (its more like a cell you know, woodchip and everything!)

Can't wait until I have enough funds to take on another young, fit advisor :) I work better when there's a bit of eye candy present!
