Is it one card per Household

Could my wife apply for some of the cards I have, so I can transfer the balance onto hers, or are cards based on households.. Thanks

My Wife and I have one of the following cards each:-

    MBNA Platinum
    MBNA Virgin Money
    Tesco's Mastercard
    Capital One
    EGG

So definately not a problem. You just cannot transfer debt between cards from the same company.
  • Well, I'm not so sure where the idea came from for 'one card per household' ... never seen that, nor heard of that ever before. Unless it can change from country to country. No idea.

I mean, I have (tots up quickly) 5 credit cards.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Yes, lots of couples do this. Cards are not based on households .

Note: same restrictions apply as when arranging a BT between your own credit card accounts (ie. you cannot transfer balances between cards underwritten by the same bank.) This table on the stoozing site (which is sponsored by Money Saving Expert) should help:
