dont know where to start?

6 months ago i was diagnosed with m.e and have been signed off work during that period, although i have good and bad days/weeks i am still unable to return to work. on a bad day i am unable to get out of bed without help, cant walk down the stairs i have to bump down on my bum, need help with washing my hair etc. on a good day i can do almost anything as long as i pace myself for example yesturday i took my son for walk along local river but today my legs are so stiff and im so tired.
On 6 occassions i have gone from being wide awake to really struggling to stay awake in matter of seconds and have to make sure in safe environment for me and son contact mum or partner and sleep sometimes for 12 hours but still wake up feeling exhausted.
my work sick pay is about to be 1/2 to approx £300 a month obviously i cant cope on this as my rent is £330 pm. would i be entitled to any help and how would i go about being assesed for disbility?
