Hi , I have an alarm message popping up on a regular basis, "e drive full" use clean up etc to empty unwanted files. Or similar words used. I wnt thru windows explorer, e drive, properties. It said I have a total of 40mb space in this drive, total., and only approx 1.7 mb of free space to use. I am very nervous to alter any settings or files in this area, as they should be all system files. (I think) There are some files which shouldnt be in there, but I thought I would get some advice first before deleting or moving them. All advice thankfully recieved!

If you are using Windows XP you can compress the contents of the drive to use up less space. I can't remember if earlier versions can do this also.
In XP, all you have to do is open up windows explorer right click on the drive in question, select properties. then find the "compress drive to save disk space" box on the General Page and click apply.
You can compress individual sub folders by going into that folders properties and clicking advance options0 -
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
