Anyone know of a bereavement forum?

I sadly lost my Grandmother just before Christmas and went straight into autopilot to cope with the funeral, my mum, etc. Now it's really hitting me. Work suggested I see a grief counsellor and whilst they are very kind to offer me the time off, I'd like also to share my experiences with people who are going through the same thing. I've searched for a bereavement forum but I can't find one. Does anyone know of one?

Sorry to hear about your loss.

You could try giving Cruse bereavement care a ring, they would probably know if there is a popular forum or may be able to help in other ways.

  • So sorry to hear of your loss Kitty, I hope you find a forum soon, it does help to sometimes chat annonmousley about your feelings etc. I lost my SIL 4 years ago, she was 17 and it took me 1 year before the grief hit me sideways, the grief seemed much worse as I had bottled it all up to be everyone elses rock, not a good idea.

    Take care xx

The only forum I could find is http://www.hovforum.ipbhost.com/ I haven't had a proper look at it, so I hope its ok. Also it would be an idea to go to your GP and perhaps ask if he/she could arrange some councelling for you, I refused councelling and think thats why it has taken me so long to come to terms with it.

Best of luck, I will be thinking of you x
